The application enables companies to produce modern, plannable and effective Dalim Litho work. Layout pages can be produced with full functionality without the usual problem of always having to chop and change between a number of applications. DALiM LiTHO fits into your workflow amazingly well. Layout pages that are usually prepared on a Macintosh are ready for high end processing after importing into DALiM LiTHO. Images can be imported, colour corrected and retouched, layout images exchanged for high end scans, montages and transparencies produced, text edited. In short – all the functions needed for high quality Dalim Litho work. And its all straightforward, in a single application. the most fully featured PDF editor in the industry DALiM LiTHO is open on all sides and in all directions. PostScript data, all known image formats (including CreoScitex, Hell and Crosfield) and PDF documents can be imported. In fact, DALiM LiTHO can be seen as the industry’s most fully featured PDF editor. The DALiM PostScript Interpreter can be used to clean up any PostScript data, as this often leads to errors in the subsequent production process (e.g. during imaging). Imported PostScript data is kept together as a unit and is fully editable on the generated DALiM page. Text can also be processed, as can gradients, colours and images. Original data names for images stay as they are. Even if an image is inserted a number of times into the data supplied, it is stored just once on the hard disk after being imported. reliable output All DALiM LiTHO pages can be printed and exposed as usual on PostScript output devices. A range of output formats is available for exporting data – image output can be in EPS Photoshop, TIFF, DCS1 or 2, PDF, PDF/X, Hell, Crosfield or Scitex format. Formats processed specially in rotogravure such as TIFF/IT, TIFF IT/P1 or AIF, are standard in DALiM LiTHO. dalim litho it’s what all rips prefer Before PostScript output, all image data is optimised for the output device concerned. For example scaled images can be uniformly resolved to 300 dpi in order to remove the triggered RIP interpolation calculations. This gives a noticeable increase in output speed for imaging film, plates or direct to paper. |
